Category: The Original Sex & The Suburbs Blog
Like most women, my entire childhood, I felt like so much of the world was begging for me to be quieter, to take up less space, and to blend in. While behaving to appease the masses has its benefits, as an adult, I’ve come to terms with the fact that my big personality, my sarcasm, and my wit has gained me more experience, stories to tell, friendships, networking abilities, and job offers than any quieter version of myself ever would.
Originally founded as a lifestyle blog back in 2019, Sex & The Suburbs has always been a space for me to be the too loud, too big, and too bold version of myself . I created this blog to remind anyone reading that being passionate isn’t embarrassing, to never ever shrink yourself, and to always choose to be authentically you.
To pay homage to the person I was when I created this brand and to always remind myself where I started, my words will remain intact on this page in blog form just as they were written all those years ago.
This business was founded on the soul purpose of always leaving people better than how I’ve found them, to evoke confidence, drive, creativity, and passion into everyone that I meet and making the world an even better, and even blonder place than it was before.

Carlie Zark
